NFL Player From Stamford Hosts Free Clinic Sunday At Westhill

STAMFORD, Conn. -- NFL player Khairi Fortt and his Foundation will team with Stamford Youth Foundation on Sunday to host a free clinic at Westhill High School.

Fortt, who played for New Orleans and Jacksonville last year, will attend the clinic from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fortt is a former Stamford High star.

The Khairi Fortt Foundation s committed to enriching and giving back to the community. It is dedicated to reaching local and global audiences with a goal to develop philanthropic programs to enhance the entire community.

After graduating early in December 2010 of his senior year with a 3.3 GPA at Stamford High, Fortt entered Penn State to start his collegiate football career. He played two seasons at Penn State before transferring to the University of California. He was drafted by the New Orleans’s Saints in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He joined the Jacksonville Jaguars for the latter part of the season. He enjoys math, science, music and community service work.

Stamford Youth Foundation is not-for-profit organization that operates programs to serve the youth of Stamford, their parents and the community at-large. Under the leadership of President Tony Spadaccinni, all SYF officers and directors are volunteers, while some coaches and instructors are paid modest stipends.
