Instant Replay Completes Perfect Season To Win Stamford North LL

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Jaden Dawkin’s two homers, one a grand slam, accounted for six runs as Instant Replay defeated RMS Construction 10-0 to win the Stamford North Little League’s Majors championship and cap a perfect 25-0 season.

Jay Lockwood and David Collazo combined to fan 11 batters and shut out RMS in the run-rule shortened finale. Connor Sullivan also homered for IR while Lucas Giantomidis and Joe Mallozzi added hits.

Roderick Olson and Todd Guttman struck out 10 batters for RMS while Guttman, Justin Palmer, Caden Barbilla and Kyle Bancroft all had hits.

Instant Replay dominated the league all season, scoring 217 runs while only allowing 35. Its pitchers threw seven shutouts and only three times allowed opponents to score more than two runs in a game.

The other member of the champion IR team are Jordan Bowbeer, Matt Jester, Ben Ramos, Tyler Tuccinardi and Brandon Velez. The team was managed by Bobby Robustelli and coached by Tom Duddie, Art Murphy and Dan Possidento.

Vinny’s Backyard 11, First County Bank 1

Vishnu Duriseti struck out eight and yielding a single hit in 3.2 innings while William Markline drove in four runs on two hits as Vinny’s Backyard downed First County Bank 11-1 to capture the Stamford North Little League’s AAA/Jr. Majors championship. Ben Gragg and Gavin Gioia (two RBI) each had two hits and Alyssa Gioia drove in two for Vinny’s.

Steven Chase and Steve Wong each had hits for First County Bank.

Vinny’s finished the season 18-1-1. The team scored an average of nearly 12 runs a game while giving up three per meeting. It also committed no errors during its four playoff games.

Vinny’s team members included Connor Hoch, Nick Seitaridis, Dhruv Rokkam, Matt Lasko, Vrishak Lasko and Andy Lasko.  The team was managed by Jon Hoch and coached by Ed Gragg and Bill Lasko.
