DARIEN, Conn. -- Girls teams from the Darien Youth Hockey Association and its travel teams, The Ice Cats, will wear Pink in the Rink on Saturday, Oct. 19, at Stamford Twin Rinks.
Throughout the day, girls will be playing hockey and raising money to benefit The Bennett Cancer Center, Stamford Hospital in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.The hockey games are part of the Paint the Town Pink campaign.
The schedule will include the under-12 CT Ice Cats A playing 11:35 followed by the under-14 Ice Cats A (12:55), under 14 Ice Cats B (2:15), Darien Youth Hockey U19 team (3:40) and the Ice Cats U12B (5:10).
People are encouraged to cheer on the teams and help the players meet their goal for a great cause. Last year the players raised more than $3,000. – they would like to exceed that mark this year.
