STAMFORD, Conn. – County TV nipped Clairol, 5-4, in seven innings to cap a three-win week in the Stamford Little League.
T.J. Wainwright pitched 5 1/3 innings of one-hit ball for County TV against Clairol. He struck out 13 and hit a three-run homer. Austin Scheine had three hits and an RBI for County while Greg Marantz, D.J. Hart and Billy Burkhardt each added hits.
County TV also edged Viking Construction, 8-7, and smacked Boot Camp, 16-3, in earlier games.
County TV is 8-12 overall and the three-game win streak comes on the heels of a six-game losing streak.
