Approximately 100 fourth-grade students were challenged to read from a collection of 80 books during a three-month period, according to a press release from school officials.
The actual “battle” happened Friday, April 10.
Students, divided into panels of three, went through 16 rounds of questions about what they read.
Prizes were awarded to top performers and a party was held to honor everyone who collectively read hundreds of books.
