STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford resident Jonathan Perrone won the annual Capital One Bank Campus Entrepreneurship Challenge at Hofstra University, competing for seed money to launch a small business venture.

His idea for a new energy drink, called Yo Healf!, took first place among four teams of students from the Frank G. Zarb School of Business.

Previous participants in the entrepreneurship challenge have gone on to win regional, state and national competitions, and have turned their proposals into successful businesses.

The year-long program combines hands-on business training with a lecture series that provides an understanding of the importance of entrepreneurs in the community, and how small business men and women are the foundation of the local economies.
