Stamford's Cloonan Middle School Hosts All-City String Festival

STAMFORD, Conn. – Stamford Public Schools will hold an All-City String Festival on Thursday, March 19, at 7 p.m., as part of National Music in Our Schools Month.

The event will be held at the Cloonan Middle School auditorium, located at 11 W. North St. in Stamford.

Two orchestras are scheduled to perform, one made up of students from Cloonan, Dolan, Rippowam, Turn of River and Rogers International middle schools. The other is a joint effort of Stamford and Westhill high schools. Over 100 students are expected to be part of the concert.

In addition, local alum and professional violinist Darwin Shen will perform.

A dress rehearsal is set for Wednesday, March 18, from 6 to 8 p.m.
