STAMFORD, CONN. -- Stamford student Sarah Manning has been awarded a $1,000 scholarship by Dunkin’ Donuts.
The award was a part of the 2013 Dunkin’ Donuts Connecticut Franchisee Scholarship Program that provided a total of $50,000 in scholarships to 50 local high school seniors.
The franchisees honored the scholarship recipients at a recent awards ceremony in Wallingford. This is the 10th year of the program.
The students were selected for the scholarship on the basis of a well-rounded character, including a positive academic record and demonstrated leadership in school and community activities. The competition drew more than 3,000 Connecticut applicants for the 50 scholarships.
