The purpose of the seminar is to connect what students do in the classroom to their life goals. Parents and teens can set up Naviance accounts and receive training in how to use it.

Divided into grade-specific activities, the forum will include information on how to pick a college and build a solid resume, depending on where the student is on his or her path.

Parents of older students can focus on career training and scholarship searches as well.

It takes place from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 18, in the Stamford High School Media Center, located at 55 Strawberry Hill Ave., Stamford.
