Stamford Schools Dismiss Early Friday Due To Severe Storm

STAMFORD, Conn. - Stamford Public Schools announced Friday morning that they will dismiss early Friday due to the blizzard conditions predicted for later in the day.

As for private schools, King had already called the snow day Friday. The Mead School and The Long Ridge School also will be closed.

Strong winds and snow from 10 to 16 inches is forecast for Fairfield County beginning Friday, with conditions worsening Friday night and blizzard conditions predicted. The snow should end Saturday afternoon.
