Fox is returning to Turn of River to replace Michael Fernandes, who took a job in the central office after spending a year away as assistant principal of Rogers International School, a statement from the public schools said. He was at Turn of River from 2009 through 2012.

He also worked for nine years at Dolan Middle School, one year on an International Fellowship in Bangkok, Thailand, and one year teaching and coaching at King Low Heywood Thomas, the release said. Fox has a bachelor’s degree from St. Michael’s College, a master’s degree in education from the University of Bridgeport, and an educational leadership certificate from UConn, the release said.

Asaro has been a second-grade teacher at Stillmeadow since 2006 and will be replacing Lisa Saba-Price, who recently became principal of Newfield Elementary School, the release said. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Mercy College and a master’s degree in elementary education from the University of Bridgeport.

The two officially started in their new positions Monday.
