Stamford High, Westhill High Hold Graduations Thursday

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Westhill High School and Stamford High School will hold their commencement ceremonies Thursday as a total of 901 students graduate from the two schools.

Stamford High will hold its graduation first at 4 p.m. at Boyle Stadium at the school at 55 Strawberry Hill Ave. 

Brandon Walker is the guest speaker for the 404 graduates. The student speaker is Brendan George, senior class president.

Westhill will hold its 6 p.m. ceremony at the school's J. Walter Field at 125 Roxbury Road. The school's 497 graduates will hear from guest speaker Michael H. Nguyen of the Stamford Police Department.

The student speakers are Christina Peltrop, vice president of student activities and former sophomore class president, and Hannah Dougherty, vice president of community affairs and former junior class president.

Stamford Mayor David Martin will speak at both ceremonies.
