Stamford High Student Reportedly Commits Suicide

STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 17-year-old Stamford High School student was found dead in an apparent suicide by hanging, according to the Stamford Advocate.

This is the second student suicide in Stamford in just more than a month after a Westhill High School took her own life Sept. 26

"We are saddened and disturbed to learn of the death of one of our students. We are all deeply affected by events like this, and our sympathy goes out to the student's family and friends," Superintendent Winifred Hamilton said in a statement. "The death of a student affects our entire school community."
