STAMFORD, Conn. -- An executive search firm hired to help find a new superintendent for the Stamford Public Schools will meet with focus groups over a three-day period.
The executive search firm, Hazard, Young, Attea & Associates, will be conducting the focus groups with a wide range of stakeholders, including Stamford Public Schools administrators, staff, union leaders, students, community leaders, elected officials, parents and Stamford residents to identify the desired leadership qualities of the next superintendent.
The meeting dates and times include:
• The group for parents of students will meet at 10 a.m. Oct. 27 in the sixth floor training room of the Stamford Government Center and at 6 p.m. Oct. 28 in the fourth floor cafe of the center.
• Stamford residents will meet at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27 at Westover Magnet School Auditorium, 412 Stillwater Road, or at 1 p.m. Oct. 29 at the Harry Bennett Branch Library, 115 Vine Road.
The new superintendent will replace Winifred Hamilton, who is retiring.
Everyone is also encouraged to complete a confidential, on-line survey http://www.stamfordpublicschools.org regarding what qualities they would like to see in the new superintendent. The survey which will be available through Nov.9.
