Burgess, 69, who had served on the board since Oct. 2014, is planning to relocate to North Carolina with her mother, according to the report.

With Burgess’ resignation, there could be five new members on the board by Dec. 1 said Board of Education president Jackie Heftman, reports Stamford Times.
