James Connelly Begins As Stamford Interim Superintendent

STAMFORD, Conn. – Stamford Schools Superintendent James Connelly began his first day on the job Monday, reports News 12 Connecticut.

Connelly was named the interim superintendent in December after Winifred Hamilton announced in early 2015 she was retiring following a sex scandal involving a teacher and student at Stamford High School.

Since retiring in 2000 as superintendent of the Bridgeport Public Schools, Connelly has served as an interim superintendent in several districts across the state.
