Gov. Malloy To Give Commencement Address At King School In Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Gov. Dannel P. Malloy will be the keynote speaker for commencement exercises at King School as it celebrates the class of 2016 and the school’s 150th anniversary on Friday, June 3, at 5 p.m.

“King is pleased and honored to have Gov. Malloy address our community as we celebrate our 150th year of educational excellence in the Stamford area,” said Head of School Tom Main. “As a Stamford native, I witnessed the incredible growth Malloy brought to this city as a four-term Mayor. There is no better historian and friend to address our community.”

Malloy was born and raised in Stamford.

“Returning to Stamford and addressing this group of future leaders is exciting,” he said. “Education has always been a top priority for me, and King continues to raise the bar in individualized teaching and learning.”

King is a private, co-educational day school for students in grades pre-K through 12.
