Free Throw Scholarship Madness Heads To Stamford's Westhill High

STAMFORD, Conn. — Free throws to raise funds for athletes is coming to Westhill High School in Stamford on Saturday, Nov. 21.

AthLife Foundation President and Founder Jon Harris accepted a challenge to make 1,100 free throws within a 24-hour time frame during an 11-school tour across Connecticut, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania .

Participating is Westhill High School’s Purple PACT Program and PCM Fund representatives, as well as AthLife Foundation staff. Student-athletes that participate in leadership and academic programs through the Kowalski-Robinson Youth Inspire Scholarship will benefit.

The Peter Cernansky Memorial Fund’s contribution to the Westhill High School Purple PACT Program will be recognized at the event.

The event takes place 8 a.m. at the Westhill High School gym, 125 Roxbury Road, Stamford. 

The AthLife Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization whose aim is to ensure deserving student-athletes can achieve academically, garner the skills to succeed in post-secondary pursuits, and be prepared to compete in their future careers beyond sport.
