Stamford Student Graduates From HCC Community Health Worker Course

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Fifteen students recently graduated from Housatonic Community College’s Community Health Worker program.

The program teaches students the skills needed for careers in advocacy, community education, community outreach, counseling, and social support.

Some Community Health Workers also make home visits to elderly people, pregnant women, nursing mothers, and those with chronic or high-risk health problems.

The next Housatonic Community College Community Health Worker course begins Tuesday, Aug. 11.
