Each year, the Stamford Art Association showcases Fairfield County high school students’ work in a professionally juried exhibit, and also awards scholarships and prizes to young artists, said a release.
First place in Photography/Printmaking went to Jack Maffucci, of Fairfield Ludlowe, for "Hostage of Her Mind." First place in Mixed Media went to Elizabeth Brown, of Fairfield Warde, for "Springs of Joy."
Second Place in Acrylic Landscape went to Carolyn Yates, of Fairfield Ludlowe, for “Montauk Skies.” Third place in Painting went to Megan Saladino, of Fairfield Warde, for “Milk Man.” Honorable mention for Drawing went to Emily Brennan, of Fairfield Warde, for “Cara.”
The pieces are on display at the Stamford Art Association. The opening reception for the display will be held from 4 to 6 pm. Sunday, March 2.
