2 Seniors Earn Scholarships From Stamford Board Of Realtors

STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Stamford Board of Realtors presented two Stamford seniors with the Raymond F. Gates Jr. Memorial Scholarship.

Westhill High grad Daniel Getman and Trinity Catholic grad Thomas Sweeney accepted the scholarships.The scholarships are awarded to exceptional students whose parents are realtors in Stamford. 

Getman will attend Duke University to study Pre-Med in order to pursue his interest in Neuroscience. 

He was featured in Stamford Magazine’s article, “Top Ten Teens to Watch.”  He is the son of Lena Getman, who is a Realtor with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage and a member of the Stamford Board of Realtors. 

Sweeney will attend Texas A&M to pursue a career in Petroleum Engineering.  An honor roll student for all four years of high school, he was inducted as a member of the National Honor Society. 

Sweeney is the son of Michael Sweeney, a realtor with Davidoff Realty and a member of the Stamford Board of Realtors.
