Revival Cafe and Kitchen will be closing their Newbury Street location on Sunday, April 30, the chain's owner's said in an Instagram post.
"We have loved being a part of the Back Bay community and are eagerly on the hunt to find a new home," the post read. "Thank you to our amazing staff who are the core of our business and, of course, to our wonderful guests."
Revival is known for a menu that offers "tradition with a twist" at three locations including one near Davis Square in Somerville and near Alewife Station in Cambridge.
"Revival is a fusion of the best ingredients, recipes, and creations," their website reads. "Revival is more than a reintroduction of high-quality food and drink. Revival is the return of true hospitality."
The cafe first opened on Newbury in July 2020, Eater Boston reports. The spot quickly became a common stomping ground for working professionals, families, students and tourists.
"Out of towner who ducked in to get out of bad weather - and so glad that I did," one Yelp reviewer said. "Had the For-Gouda-boutit and it's one of the best sandwiches I've had in quite a while."
"Deli-worthy and flavors that I never would have imagined would come together but they work so well together," they continued. "Sweet potato chips are also a must have. So lucky that I stumbled upon Revival during my short trip!"
"The vibe here is amazing during the summertime since there's a fair amount of outdoor seating," another reviewer said. "My husband had the pesto and egg sandwich and I had the crispy eggplant and a golden crema iced latte - we loved 100% of it."
The owners said they are working on relocating the Newbury team to Revival's two other locations and encouraged patrons to visit them so they can still eat their favorite foods.
