At around 4 p.m. on August 22, 24-year-old Nathan Poole was driving his pickup truck in the 200 block of Constitution Drive, when he struck two female victims crossing the street, according to the Virginia Beach Police Department.
One victim, 76-year-old Rosa Blanco, was pronounced dead at the scene and the other female victim was transported to the hospital for her serious injuries, officials reported.
Poole was arrested for driving under the influence, with additional charges pending, authorities said.
