Suicidal Man Killed By Sheriffs Deputies Behind Harford County CVS ID'd (Update)

A suicidal man, who was shot and killed by Harford County Sheriff's Office deputies over the weekend, have been identified, authorities said.

John Raymond Fauver, 53, was shot after police found him behind the CVS on Rock Spring Road in Forest Hill around 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, the department said on Facebook.

Police found Fauver behind the CVS after searching for nearly an hour and having phone conversations with him. He was believed to be armed with a long gun, Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler said.

Fauver was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, Gahler said. None of the officers were injured.

Two deputies were placed on routine administrative leave pending investigation.
