A 24-year-old Darien resident told police that he had parked his 1999 BMW M3 convertible on Stephanie Lane at about midnight on June 18, and when he returned to the car at around 6:30 a.m., he found one of the door was ajar, police said.

The car had been entered, and several items were taken, including a $800 Canon digital camera, two Canon camera lenses valued at $200 each, a $100 Canon flash attachment and a $50 camera bag, police said.

The victim told police that he was certain he had locked his car, and thought perhaps a coat hanger had been used to gain access to it. Police said there was no damage to the vehicle or any sign of forced entry.
