Hempstead Elementary School Spreads Valentines' Cheer To Veterans

RAMAPO, N.Y. -- State Sen. David Carlucci (D-Rockland/Westchester). joined students of Hempstead Elementary School on Wednesday to present more than 5,000 valentines to local veterans as part of his annual Valentines for Veterans initiative.

Additionally, there were musical performances and poetry readings by the students and teachers to recognize the veterans for their bravery and service.

The Valentines for Veterans initiative organizes communities across our country and urges them to send thousands of good wishes to veterans and service members each year in the form of a valentines day card.
