New Milford Swears In Fire Officers For 2016

NEW MILFORD, N.J. -- Officers of the New Milford Fire Department took oaths of office on Saturday, sworn in by Council President and Fire Liaison Dominic Colucci at Company 2.

Officers for 2016 are Chief, Alan Silverman; Assistant Chief Ross Rhien; Deputy Chief Angelo DeCarlo; Captains Ronald Stokes and Willian Mury; and Lieutenants Matthew Calnan and Jared Birnbaum.

Last year’s Chief David Stormer was recognized for his tenure as chief, and Gerald Howard for 50 years of service.

Company 2 Life Member and New Milford Police Captain John Kiene, who is retiring, was recognized for 33 years of service.

Other officers are civic presidents, William Drew in Co. 1 and Christopher Kerrigan in Co. 2, and vice presidents Richard Neuner of Co.1 and James Favia of Co. 2.
