Trump Considering WWE Founder Linda McMahon For Commerce Secretary

GREENWICH, Conn. — Greenwich's Linda McMahon, a co-founder of the Stamford-based WWE, is being considered for Secretary of Commerce by President-elect Donald Trump, according to NBC Connecticut.

McMahon, 68, was also a two-time Republican candidate for the Senate in Connecticut, losing to Richard Blumenthal in 2010 and Chris Murphy in 2012.   

She has appeared onscreen with the WWE, where she served as president and CEO, along with her husband, Vince. They are reportedly worth $855 million from running their pro wrestling empire.

She is a board member at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield and is a former member of the Connecticut State Board of Education.
