STAMFORD, Conn. -- Josh Fedeli, the campaign manager for state Rep. William Tong's run for mayor of Stamford, released the following statement in response to opponent David Martin's attack on errors printed in a polling location flier released by the Tong campaign:
"Recently, the Tong campaign sent a mail piece to some Stamford voters with incorrect polling location information. We regret the mistake and are quickly moving to correct the problem by mailing correct polling information to all Stamford voters. The error was caused by incorrect data in a state voter file - one used by both Democratic campaigns for mayor.
"For the Martin campaign to suggest that this was anything other than technical error is irresponsible and divisive, and smacks of desperation. We are confident Stamford voters will see through this ruse and focus on the issues that are important to this campaign - education, public safety, creating jobs and making Stamford the best city in America for families."
