STAMFORD, Conn. — Stamford Mayor Michael Pavia joined the bipartisan coalition Mayors Against Illegal Guns while attending a U.S. Conference of Mayors meeting in Washington, D.C.

“I am honored to have joined the coalition of Mayors Against Illegal Guns and am committed to working with the coalition of fellow mayors to develop innovative ideas and policies and support legislation at the national, state and local levels that will help law enforcement remove illegal guns from our communities,” Pavia said in a news release.

During the conference, U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, co-chair of the coalition, served as guest speakers to demand a plan against gun violence, the release said.
