STAMFORD, Conn. — With Election Day two weeks away, Fairway Market in Stamford is offering you a tasty way to vote for your favorite candidate with campaign cupcakes.

“With all the bitterness emanating from the campaign, Fairway Market is eager to put some sweetness in the battle for the White House,” Herb Ruetsch, CEO of Fairway Market, said in a market news release.

If you support President Barack Obama’s re-election bid then purchase the blue cupcakes featuring the donkey image, and if you are hoping Mitt Romney wins then buy the red cupcakes with the elephant logo.

The market will be selling the cupcakes until Nov. 5 then tallying up the results to see who won “the election,” at each Fairway  location in the tri-state area, the release said. The cupcakes are on sale for $1.49 each.
