Stamford State Rep. Terry Adams Promoted In Democratic Caucus

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Representative Terry B. Adams (D-Stamford) was promoted by Speaker Joe Aresimowicz (D-Berlin) to assistant majority leader of the House Democratic Caucus.

Rep. Adams will serve under Majority Leader Matthew D. Ritter (D-Hartford). Adams was also appointed to the legislature’s Human Services, Public Safety and Banks committees. He will serve as vice chairman of Human Services.

“I am very honored to be chosen for these additional leadership responsibilities as we face challenging times over the next two years,” he said. “I look forward to working with Speaker Aresimowicz and Majority Leader Ritter to move Connecticut forward and improve the quality of life for everyone in our great state.”

“Terry Adams has served with distinction in representing the people of Stamford as well as everyone in Connecticut. He will be a great leader for our caucus. He has the knowledge and background that will help us as we tackle the important issues facing our state,” Aresimowicz said.
