Stamford Board Of Reps Votes To OK $530M Budget Plan

STAMFORD, Conn. — The Stamford Board of Representatives voted 30-6 on Monday night to approve a $530 million budget for the next fiscal year, according to the Connecticut Post.

The budget is expected to bring a tax increase of 2.7 percent, the Post said.

The board also approved a $77 million capital budget, the story said.

The Board of Eduction’s share of the budget totaled $292 million, (with $29 million from outside grants), with the city's share coming in at $214 million, the Post said.
