The meeting will be held at Westover Magnet Elementary School, 412 Stillwater Ave., with the regular meeting at 6 p.m. and the hearing scheduled for 7 p.m. The sign-up sheet for speakers from the first meeting will be brought to this meeting, said Theresa Dell, chair of the board.

The board attempted to hold the meeting last week at the Stamford Government Center, however between overcrowding and a person becoming ill during the hearing it was delayed about 45 minutes and cut short. The board decided to change venues to handle the expected large crowd.

The terms of the agreement the city entered into with Building and Land Technology, the developer of the properties, says that in exchange for 2.4 acres of city-owned land at 205 Magee Ave., the developer will provide the city with $5 million in capital improvements. The enhancements include building of an estimated $2 million animal shelter, donating $50,000 each year for two years toward the Fourth of July fireworks and making enhancements to Czescik Marina, Cummings Park and Kosciuszko Park.

If approved, the 2.4 acres would be used along with about 6 additional acres of land the developer controls at the location for a boatyard. Bridgewater Associates would then build and move into its Stamford headquarters in the South End at the site of the former boatyard.
