The event at the campaign’s headquarters, at 925 Long Ridge Road in Stamford, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, according to a press release. Supporters and residents are invited to attend the event, discuss the issues with Fedele and receive information about the campaign and Fedele’s vision for Stamford.
Fedele, the Republican candidate and former lieutenant governor, is running against Democrat David Martin, a Board of Finance member. Martin ran against current Mayor Mike Pavia, who is not seeking re-election, and lost in 2009. The election is Nov. 5.
“For months, day in and day out, I have been meeting with Stamford residents and business owners -- walking through their neighborhoods and places of business, introducing myself, asking questions and listening,” Fedele said in the release. “The official opening of our campaign headquarters means there is now also a physical place where voters and supporters can gather, ask questions, and get answers.”
The opening of the headquarters is another way to "make sure the voters of Stamford have every opportunity to discuss the issues," Fedele said in the release.
“And as mayor, I pledge that I will have an open and ongoing dialogue with our residents about the issues – large and small -- that matter most to them," he said in the release.
