STAMFORD, Conn. -- State Rep. and mayoral candidate William Tong (D-147) will make five stops Tuesday to listen and talk to women about top issues – from education and small businesses to health care and social services.
Tong will be at the Parkway Diner at 8 a.m. to have breakfast with Fran Pastore, CEO of WBDC, and Jennifer Openshaw, founder of the Women’s Financial Network and Dow Jones columnist.
At 2 p.m., Tong will be at the Sexual Assault Crisis Counseling and Education Center on Canal Street. He will speak about speak to staff about crisis counseling and legislation with SACEC Executive Director Ivonne Zucco.
By 7 p.m., Tong will have made his way to El Maya Restaurant on Stillwater Avenue. There he will attend a community dinner hosted by leaders Beatrice Chodosh, Eva Padilla and Miriam Matos, who will speak about issues of particular importance to women in the Latino community.
