Woman Stole $300 Worth Of Supplements From Stamford CVS, Cops Say

STAMFORD, Conn. -- A Stratford woman pocketed $300 worth of health care supplements from a CVS pharmacy in Stamford in December, said Stamford police, who arrested her on Friday.

Kelly I. Gray, 30, of 2037 Broadbridge St., was charged with first-degree forgery, third-degree embezzlement and sixth-degree larceny.

A woman went to the CVS pharmacy at 1058 Hope St., on Dec. 12 to return $200 of store merchandise, police said. The woman didn't have a receipt for the items but was issued a store credit, police said.

She then went over to an aisle and pocketed the supplements, police said. After she walked out, suspicious store staff recorded her license plate and called police.

Officers began an investigation and Gray eventually decided to turn herself in, police said.

The date of her first court appearance was not released.
