STAMFORD, Conn. — A group of teens pushed a woman to the ground and stole money from her in Stamford Tuesday night, according to the Stamford Advocate.
Police told the Stamford Advocate that the woman was in the area of Woodland Avenue and Pacific Street at around 11 p.m. Tuesday when she was approached by four teenage boys. They asked the 35-year-old woman if she wanted to buy drugs, and when she refused they pushed her to the ground and stole $50 from her pockets, the Stamford Advocate reported.
The woman reported the incident to police, who arrested two of the boys, according to the Stamford Advocate. The boys were 14 and 17 years old and were charged with criminal attempt at robbery, police told the Stamford Advocate.
Another man told police that he had been approached by the same group of boys, but they left him alone when they found out he only had $1 on him, the Stamford Advocate reported.
