Officers responded at 7:10 p.m. to the hip clothing store at 1365 Post Road E. and set up a perimeter in the area to track down the two suspects, police said in a statement.

Officer Rich Allen located the male suspect on the Post Road, about a quarter mile east of the store, police said.

About 30 minutes later, K9 Officer James Loomer and PSD Koda tracked the female suspect westbound on the Post Road, where she was located hiding in the bushes of the Mobil Gas Station at 1060 Post Road E., police said.

Both suspects were positively identified by store employees and taken into custody, police said.

They were identified as Martha Suarez, 28, of Corona, N.Y., and Miguel Pizon, 29, of Queens, N.Y.

Both were charged with third-degree larceny, interfering with an officer and conspiracy.

Suarez was held on $10,000 bond, Pizon on $3,000 bond.

Over $3,000 in merchandise was recovered from the scene at Anthropologie, where the suspects had dropped the items while fleeing, police said.

Both will appear in Norwalk Superior court on July 6.

Due to a heavy volume of police calls at the time, two units from the Fairfield Police Department responded to assist, police said.
