Officers were called about an unwanted guest at the hotel located at 275 Summer St. in downtown. The man was trying to get into a room, police said. When asked whether he had a key card, he pulled out a Mohegan Sun card and said he lost his key card, police said.

The man was taken to the front desk, where the clerk said he wasn’t registered to stay in the hotel, police said. Earlier that night, he had tried to get into a room by claiming that he had a friend staying there, police said.

As officers were escorting the man out of the hotel, he pulled himself away from officers and began to resist, police said.

Brandon Thielke, of 79 Barstow Drive, Wethersfield, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, second-degree criminal trespass and interfering with an officer. His court date was not available.

Two officers said they were injured during the arrest, but the extent of their injuries wasn't known, a police spokesman said.
