The residents reported that electronics and cash had been taken in the burglary, according to Darien police, who soon determined that two burglars had entered through an unlocked door.

Because of the home’s proximity to Stamford, investigators called upon Stamford police to aid in the search for the suspects, according to Darien police.

On April 21, Stamford officers informed Darien police that two youths matching the description of the burglary suspects had been arrested, police said.

Deandre Parsons of 7 Lewelyn St., Stamford, and a male juvenile from Stamford, whose name was withheld because of his age, were then questioned about the Holmes Court burglary, police said.

Later, the unnamed youth’s home was searched by officers from Darien and Stamford, said police, who added that evidence collected at the scene connected the unnamed teen to a slew of criminal investigations. Authorities did not release the nature of the evidence or discuss what additional charges the youth may face.

Parsons was taken to the Bridgeport Correctional Center on April 22 – about the same time that the unnamed youth was taken to the Connecticut Juvenile Training School in Middletown, police said.

On May 26, Parsons was taken to Stamford Superior Court and arrested by Darien officers. On Tuesday, Darien officers traveled to the Juvenile Training School to take the unnamed youth into custody, police said.

Parson and the unnamed juvenile are charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree conspiracy to commit burglary and third-degree larceny, said police, who added that both Parsons and the youth have extensive criminal histories.

Parsons remained at the Bridgeport Correctional Center on $75,000 bond in connection with the charges he faces in Darien. According to police, the unnamed youth was also held at the Bridgeport Juvenile Detention Center.
