On Friday morning, a resident of West Avenue reported that his car had been stolen. He told officers that he left his 2000 Acura Integra locked and in the driveway the night before, and said that there was only one key, which he still had. Inside the car were two car computers totaling $600 in value, police said. Officers found no evidence of forced entry on the scene, and are continuing to investigate.

A resident of South Trail also reported Friday morning that her car had been stolen. She said that her 2016 BMW X3 had been taken sometime during the overnight hours. She didn't believe that the key had been left in the car, but was unable to locate it. Police said that it was confirmed that the car was unlocked, and that the investigation is continuing.

Later that morning, a resident of Rebel Lane reported that she came out to her 2015 Lexus IS250 and saw the contents strewn about the passenger compartment. The car had been left unlocked overnight, police said. It appeared that nothing had been taken.

While officers were conducting a canvass regarding the motor vehicle burglary, another resident of Rebel Lane reported that her car had also been taken. She said that she got into her 2009 BMW 128i and noticed the glove compartment was open and the contents were on the passenger seat. The car had also been left unlocked.
