Two Bridgeport Men Charged In Stamford Smash And Grabs

STAMFORD, Conn., -- Two Bridgeport men already facing charges in other break-ins in Fairfield County are facing more charges in connection with the break-ins at a pair of city restaurants last month.

Roman Nieves, 37, of Sherwood Avenue, and Keron Nixon, 34, of Stratford Avenue, were charged Friday with counts each of third-degree burglary, criminal mischief and conspiracy for burglary.Both were held on $20,000 bonds.

Police said that in the early-morning hours of Dec. 17 as Nixon sat in a Honda Pilot acting as a lookout Nieves used a rock to break windows to gain entry into Michael's Italian Pizzeria at 118 Cove Road and Hong Kong Chinese Restaurant at 598 Cove Road where cash and other items were stolen.

The men were also arrested on Dec. 21 for burglaries in Shelton and Ansonia where rocks were used to smash windows to gain entry into stores, according to the Stamford Advocate.
