Three People Report Being Pepper Sprayed In Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. -- Three people reported being pepper sprayed in downtown Stamford on Tuesday, and three juvenile girls were taken into custody, according to the Stamford Advocate.

An employee of a store on Atlantic Street reported around 12:50 p.m. that they had been pepper sprayed by five girls, who fled afterwards, according to the Stamford Advocate. A short time later two more people reported being pepper sprayed, the Stamford Advocate reported.

Police responded to the area and closed off part of Atlantic Street while they searched for suspects, according to the Stamford Advocate. They eventually took three girls into custody, who may face assault charges, the Stamford Advocate reported.
