Three Men Survive Shooting At Stamford House Party

STAMFORD, Conn. — Three Stamford men were shot while at a house party on James Street Friday night into Saturday morning, a release from the police department said.

According to the release, “unwanted guests” entered a party at 18 James St., which led to a fight and the shooting. Officers found shell casings from four different weapons, multiple trails of blood, and houses and cars shot up.

The gunshot victims were treated at Stamford Hospital. Two 21-year-old males were treated for non-life threatening injuries, one shot in the left forearm and the other in the right shoulder.  A third person, a 22-year-old male, underwent surgery for a wound in his left leg, and is still there for observation, the release said.

Two weapons that may have been used in the shooting were recovered -- one was found at the hospital and the other during a motor vehicle stop/police pursuit, the release said.

Police believe the shooting stems from the ongoing East Side-West Side rivalry, the release said.

The investigation is ongoing and anyone with any information can contact the Bureau of Criminal Investigations at 203-977-4417, the release said. Calls will be kept confidential.
