At around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Officer William Petrone of the Uniform Patrol Division saw an illegally parked car on Woodside Street, and could see one of the occupants dumping tobacco from a cigar onto the road, police said. Petrone stopped to investigate, and eventually discovered marijuana, liquid codeine, a high capacity handgun magazine and two unregistered handguns, according to police.

Matthew Barkley, 24, was charged with possession of a high capacity magazine and possession of a controlled substance. Jamar Hinds Robinson, 21, was charged with possession of a pistol without a permit. Marcus Barkley, 23, was charged with second-degree reckless endangerment. Wilbert Jordan was also issued an infraction for possession of marijuana.

The Stamford Police Department commended Petrone and other members of the Patrol Division for their work in the investigation.

"The Stamford Police Department continues to take pride in making the City of Stamford one of the safest cities in America," Stamford Police said.
