Theft Of Laptop, 'Beer Money' Reported In Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. — A Stamford woman reported that her laptop and “beer money” were stolen Tuesday, Stamford Police Sgt. Robert Shawinsky said.

The woman told police that sometime between 2 and 7:30 p.m. someone broke into her Cove Road apartment and took the computer, a videogame system, five videogames and a jar of change that she used to buy beer, Shawinsky said.

Responding officers reported that the front and back doors were locked and that there was no sign of forced entry, Shawinsky said.
