The incident began at about 6:50 p.m. when a pizza delivery driver reported that his 1999 Honda Civic was stolen on Henry Street, Stamford police said. He had left the keys in the car while making the delivery, police said.
Multiple patrol units responded to search for the vehicle, police said. Within minutes, Officer Richard Dabrowski saw the stolen vehicle on I-95 northbound and attempted to pull it over, police said.
The driver of the stolen car did not stop, and Stamford police units pursued it on I-95 and into Darien as the took Exit 11, police said.

After the car left I-95, a Stamford police supervisor called off the pursuit, police said.
But as Officer Anna Futyma was returning to Stamford, she spotted the stolen car in an accident in the parking lot of Dunkin' Donuts at 967 Post Road in Darien, police said.
A witness said the suspects had fled after striking a parked and unoccupied vehicle, police said. They ran to the train station platform and across the tracks, the witness told police.
Stamford, Darien, Connecticut State Police, and MTA police units set up a perimeter in the area and a track was conducted by a Stamford police K-9, police said.
One suspect was located and arrested. The subject is an underage juvenile and was not identified, police said.
Train service on Metro-North's New Haven Line was delayed during the search, the MTA said.
