Sunday Afternoon Robber Hits TD Bank Branch In Greenwich

GREENWICH, Conn. -- A man in his 50s robbed the TD Bank branch on Greenwich Avenue in broad daylight on Sunday afternoon, according to Greenwich police.

At about 1:30 p.m. Sunday, a lone man entered the bank at 235 Greenwich Ave. at Elm Street and presented the teller with a note demanding cash, said Lt. Kraig Gray, spokesman for the Greenwich Police Department.

The bank teller complied, and the suspect left without incident with an undetermined amount of cash, Gray said. No injuries were reported, he said. 

The suspect is described as a clean-shaven white man in his 50s with blue eyes and a pointy nose, police said. The man is 5-foot-6, heavy set, and very pale with a big belly.
