Stamford Woman Killed In Motorcycle Crash On Route 7 In Wilton

WILTON, Conn., -- A 53-year-old Stamford woman is dead after she lost control of her motorcycle Sunday evening on Route 7 in Wilton, police said.

Susan Tolliver of 16 Remington St., Stamford, died in Norwalk Hospital on Sunday night, Wilton Police said.

She had been operating a 2003 Buell Firebolt XB9R southbound on Route 7 at 7:11 p.m. when she lost control of the motorcycle, police said. It hit a curb in front of 141 Danbury Road, near the intersection with Route 33.

The motorcycle crossed three lanes of Route 7, throwing Tolliver from the vehicle in the process, police said. 

She was rushed to Norwalk Hospital in serious condition but later died from her injuries, police said.

She was the only rider on the motorcycle, police said.

Police are investigating the fatal accident.
